Parent involvement
We work closely with parents to promote student development. We assume mutual trust in each other. You support the policies of the school and have confidence in the professionalism of the staff. As a parent, you take the initiative to discuss questions or concerns with the teacher. You show your involvement by being present or helping out with activities as much as possible. The Kanjer training teaches children to treat each other respectfully and to take responsibility for their own behavior. As a parent, you endorse this principle.
Activities
During the school year, parents are invited to various activities such as Open class mornings, IPC theme closings, Christmas drinks and going along on excursions or school trips. Every school year we conclude with the School Party on the square.
Communication
Parents and teachers are partners when it comes to children's development. Good mutual contact is therefore very important. Through the school guide, our website and messages on our communication platform Social Schools, we keep parents informed of developments at school.
About three weeks after the start of the school year, the teachers hold coordination meetings with all parents. We chart pupils' development in the report portfolio. We invite parents to discuss this development in portfolio meetings. From group 5 onwards, pupils are also allowed to attend.
